I’m Tim Atwell, owner of Delicious Ink Tattoo in Rockford IL. We’ve been open since 1998, I’ve worked at D/I since 2002 and took the business over 2007. Expanded and rebranded in 2009 and still going strong.

My experience has lead me from traditional tattoos and shop trends into my current style and focus being watercolor/abstract tattoos. They are out of the box and unique with clear influences such as throw back cartoon characters like Reptar, Dr.Who, Harry Potter, even floral designs.

The overall aesthetic of bold colors and striking imagery comes out in my artwork outside of tattoos as well. Creating bold concepts and illustrations, collaging pop culture icons with bright colors is something that is a pursuit of mine. Utilizing the ability to create digital paintings and collages into art prints for clients and collectors alike has changed my approach to creating fine art.
